Join us on Saturday, February 4th at 7pm for the final edition of International Stages 2016-2017: A contemporary play reading series exploring post millennial works.
PEGGY PICKIT SEES THE FACE OF GOD (2009) is German playwright Roland Schimmelpfennig’s funny and dark satire about the after effects of a couple’s “wonderful and horrific” medical mission to Africa.
A personally probing excavation of the West’s inner and outer complicity on the world stage of crisis, PEGGY PICKIT SEES THE FACE OF GOD will be directed by Debbie Saivetz and performed by guest actors from New York City.
The play reading will be followed by a community discussion of Schimmelpfennig’s work and the challenges it poses.
Suggested $5 donation.
