HAMILTON, NY–NBT Bank recently donated $7,500 to Arts at the Palace (AATP), a non-profit visual and performing arts organization in Hamilton.

The funding is the first installment of the bank’s $15,000 commitment to sponsor AATP’s Main Stage Series that will feature a broad range of performances by professional actors and entertainers who have presented nationally and internationally.

NBT Bank Hamilton Branch Manager Tara Ashton said, “We are proud to be official sponsors of the Arts at the Palace Main Stage Series and further efforts to establish the theater as a premier venue for residents to enjoy a rich and diverse selection of live performances.”

The upcoming schedule of programs includes:

  • Paul the Beatle—Feb. 6, 7 p.m.;
  • Soul Steps—Feb. 27, 7 p.m.;
  • The Belle of Amherst—March 12, 7 p.m.;
  • Foster Care to Fabulous—April 16, 7 p.m.;
  • Shakespeare in the Park presents Romeo and Juliet—July 8, 7 p.m. (this show will take place on the village green in Hamilton); and
  • Rock Camp! —Aug. 19, 7 p.m.

AATP’s mission is to offer quality programming focused on a full spectrum of the arts and education. The facility can be leased for other purposes such as weddings, conferences and events. AATP also nurtures the growth and development of artists, arts organizations, or arts enterprises through an incubator program that provides non-profit cultural groups and arts entrepreneurs with the skills, tools, and business environment necessary to meet short and long-range objectives.
