Arts at the Palace has received a $20,000 grant from the Central New York Community Foundation to support From Script to Stage, an arts-based residency program at the Palace Theater in Hamilton, NY.

From Script to Stage has offered playwrights a supportive and professional environment for play development since 2016, engaging the Hamilton community through dialogue and experiences.

This coming summer, regional playwright Donna Hoke has been selected to develop her new piece Hearts of Stone.  Kyle Bass, Assistant Professor of Theater at Colgate University and Associate Artistic Director at Syracuse Stage, will serve as the Artistic Advisor for the project.

“We are grateful that the Central New York Community Foundation has recognized the importance and growth potential of this innovative program,” said Victoria Kappel, Executive Director of Arts at the Palace.
