All That Jazz

September 18, 2021
7:00 pm

The Central New York Jazz Arts Foundation proudly presents the sextet All That Jazz live at the Palace Theater on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 7pm, featuring Joe Carello, woodwinds; Paul Merrill, trumpet; Bill Palange, trombone; Oliver Scott, piano; Tom Brigandi, bass; and Larry Luttinger, drums.

All That Jazz was created to impart an appreciation of jazz in all its forms to audiences of all ages by playing jazz from every decade of the 20th century. Its members comprise a “Who’s Who” of regional luminaries.

The group is an all-star regional sextet that has been performing in theaters, libraries and schools across upstate New York since 1986. Created by former Syracuse Symphony music director and conductor Calvin Custer and percussionist-educator Larry Luttinger, it performs a whirlwind history of jazz show narrated by radio personality Corny O’Leary, playing jazz in all its forms, from ragtime to fusion. All arrangements were penned by Custer and Luttinger.

The CNY Jazz Arts Foundation enriches our community by sustaining and presenting the art form of American Jazz. CNY Jazz’s broader goals are to present jazz as an art form using the finest local, regional, and national artists available. Jazz, and our efforts to promote it, are by nature a uniquely American multicultural endeavor.

Tickets $15 (purchase below). Kids aged 12 and under are free when accompanied by ticketed parent/guardian.

As a performing artist, Larry has been a member of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra since 1986, he is currently a member of Symphoria, and he plays drum set for the CNY Jazz Orchestra.
