Join us on August 19th at 7pm for a staged reading of the new play by Ann Mohin, directed by Stephen L. Hinkle. Ann Mohin is an award-winning novelist, short story writer, poet–and now–a playwright. Mohin’s play, based on the New York Times Notable Book The Farm She Was, is the life story of a feisty ninety-year old woman, her various relationships to people, to animals, to her land, and it is about her battle to save the sheep farm where she was “born and intends to die.” Ann Mohin is originally from Baltimore, attended the University of Maryland in English with post-graduate work in Film Studies, and worked in publications in Washington, DC. She is also a retired sheep farmer who now divides her time between upstate New York and Florida.
The evening will feature:
