Arts at the Palace is pleased to present the first of a three-part free film discussion series with film professional Juliette Fahey.

Faces Places (original title Visages Villages) directed by Agnès Varda and JR, 2017, FRANCE

Follow celebrated French filmmaker, the late Agnès Varda, and photography/street artist JR as they travel around rural France. Faces Places is a travelogue that explores the spirit of community and public art through the creation of large portraitures. Made at the end of her career, Faces Places is a tender retrospective of Varda’s influence as one of the most poignant, lyrical, and beautiful filmmakers of the French New Wave.

Watch Faces Places on your own (currently available to stream on Amazon Prime).

Then join us on Friday, February 26 at 7 pm on Zoom for a rich, informal discussion about the film by emailing with “Faces Places” in the subject line to register for a Zoom link.

Mark your calendars for parts two and three of the Virtual Film Club series!

Excited to be a part of a program here at Arts at the Palace, Juliette Fahey previously studied at Boston University and the University of Pittsburgh where she learned about the history and production of tv, media, and film. She currently works as a videographer in Boston. In her free time, Juliette enjoys running along the Charles River and trying out cool new recipes.

This program is free and open to all. If you have the means, please consider making a donation to help Arts at the Palace continue to cultivate the arts, culture, and community.
