MAD Ideas Lecture Series

Brought to you by Cornell Cooperative Extension, in collaboration with the Colgate University Upstate Institute, the MAD Ideas Lecture Series brings scientific ideas and perspectives to Madison County throughout the 2023-2024 academic year. The lecture series draws on expertise from all the colleges in and around Madison County to share current research and thinking on topics like agriculture, economic vitality, ecological sustainability, social well-being, youth development, health and nutrition, and more!

MAD Ideas will be held on the first or second Thursday of every month from September through May. The first featured MAD Ideas speaker, on Thursday, September 7th, will be Robin Wall Kimmerer, MacArthur Fellow and best-selling author of Braiding Sweetgrass.
