Dear Friends, Artists, and Patrons,

This past week, Arts at the Palace was informed of our state funding allocation for 2026.

Unfortunately, due to a number of variables out of our control, our award specifically for artist fees has been decreased by 75% compared with last year.

On Friday, I spoke with our NYSCA representative, who affirmed the impact of our work. However, due to federal arts funding cuts, a large number of applications, and because we are a smaller, rural organization - they had to make hard decisions. Although this funding decrease was unexpected, our Board and Staff are unwavering in our belief in the importance of our work and we are committed to supporting artists and expanding our impact across the region.

In order to sustain our same level of programming in 2026, we’re launching an end of year giving campaign.

100 x $100 x 100% for Artists

Over the next month, we’re inviting 100 people to give $100 - 100% of which will be paid to local artists in 2026.

If you have enjoyed free public arts programs like Thursdays On The Village Green, Saturday Jazz, the Village Art Walk, or any number of our many programs and performances - please give.

We know many of you have faithfully supported our growth these past few years by attending events, giving, and coming to our Gala. Thank you! If you are able, please visit this link, share, and give:

We’ll keep you updated with our campaign progress and we hope to see you in 2026!

Sincerely,

Henry Howard
