Rent The Palace

A historic venue in the heart of Hamilton, NY, The Palace is the perfect setting for arts events, lectures, screenings, private celebrations, and cultural gatherings.

What spaces are available to rent?

Main Level + Mezzanine – Capacity 386 (seats ~240 comfortably). Includes a full stage, professional sound, projection, and stage lighting. ADA accessible (stage is not currently ADA).

Studio Space – Capacity 80 (seats ~60 comfortably). An intimate, flexible black-box style space, perfect for rehearsals, small performances, or workshops.

How much does it cost to rent The Palace?

Non-Profit / Cultural / Educational Rentals

Daytime (before 5pm): starting at $225

Evening (after 5pm): starting at $1250

Private Events

Daytime (before 5pm): starting at $350

Evening (after 5pm): starting at $1,500

Weekly/Multi-Day Rentals – Available, inquire for rates.

What’s included in the rental?

  • Use of your selected space (Main Level + Mezzanine or Studio)

  • Professional sound system, video projection, and full stage lighting

  • Tables & chairs: 6’ and 8’ tables, 6 high-top bar tables *Small selection of tables are included in the rental fee.

  • Set-up support and clean-up

  • Access to the building at 10am on the day of your event

  • Parking nearby

Can we bring in food and drinks?

  • Yes, outside food and catering are welcome.

  • Outside alcohol is not permitted.

  • Bar service (beer, wine, cider, hard seltzer, soda) is available through The Palace: $500 service fee + $5/drink.

Do you provide linens, tables, or decorations?

  • Linens are available to rent for $20 per table linen.

  • 8 "Hightop" bar tables, and 8, 6' rectangle tables (You'll need linens or table covers)

  • Temporary decorations may be hung with prior approval

Are there extra fees?

  • Late-night and events over 75 people may incur an additional fee.

  • Bar service and linens are optional add-ons.

  • All facility are subject to Board Approval

When is payment due?
Full payment is due the day of the event.

Do we need insurance?
Yes, all rentals require simple event liability insurance.

Can we rent The Palace for a fundraiser?
No, The Palace is not available for fundraising events.

Main Floor

Main floor area is 34′ x 45′

  • Main stage is 25′ x 24′ with a 11′ x 11′ pit band area

  • 386 maximum occupancy

  • Theater-style seating capacity: 240

  • Dinner seating capacity: 120

  • Bar with sinks and refrigerators

  • Sound and lighting systems

  • Video projector and screen

  • Steinway baby grand piano

MEZZANINE

The retro-designed Mezzanine boasts large second-floor windows that overlook the village of Hamilton. It’s the perfect place for gatherings of up to 75 people. The Mezzanine features the following amenities:

  • Bar with sinks and refrigerator

  • Versatile seating options

THE STUDIO

The cozy, atmospheric Palace Studio seats approximately 60 people with a maximum occupancy of 80. The Underground features the following amenities:

  • Corner stage (approximately 12’ x 13’)

  • Sound and lighting system

  • Kitchen

  • Green room

  • Cocktail/dining tables and chairs
