Youth Monologue Camp - July 21st - 25th
Monday, July 21 – Friday, July 25, 2025
1:30 PM – 4:00 PM
Grades 7th - 12th
Cost $150
Whether this is your first time on a stage or you’re already an experienced actor, this camp is designed to challenge and inspire teen performers. The height of an actor’s skill is often found in their ability to perform monologues and tackle complex language. This camp will help teens sharpen their skills and explore the power of performance through monologue and scene work.
Throughout the week, participants will work on short Shakespearean monologues and two-person scenes from medieval England-based plays circa 1200. To bring these stories to life, we’ll also partner with local artists performing medieval ballads, learn dances of the time, and even craft simple costume pieces.
Over five afternoons, students will:
Dive into short Shakespearean monologues and medieval two-person scenes.
Collaborate with local musicians playing traditional ballads from 1200s England.
Learn historical dance steps and performance techniques.
Create elements of their own costumes—think jester hats, ruffled collars, and cloth belts
It’s part acting intensive, part history come to life—and all about creativity, confidence, and collaboration.
Space is limited. Join us this summer at Arts at the Palace and bring the past to the stage!
